New MacBook Pros
I’m very well aware that the new addition to Apple’s MacBook range is now a week old and iPad 2 is literally about to launch.
Anyway better late than never here is a very short run through of what to expect from the new MacBook Pros.
Thunderbolt
Supported by Intel, Thunderbolt is a new peripheral connection technology, so new it was announced last Thursday (day of MacBook launch). Each Thunderbolt port provides up to 10 Watts of power to connected peripherals. You will be able to transfer various data from video, audio, power and also connect to devices such as hard drives. It sports two-way 10Gbps speeds, making it faster than USB or FireWire, and supports video connections.
“Thunderbolt making it possible to transfer an entire Blu-ray film for viewing in less than 30 seconds.”

The new MacBooks come in various screen configurations of 13″, 15″ and 17″ and with either Inter Core i5 or i7 processors.
