New Nintendo DSi XL

Nintendo launch their latest version of the DS on Friday the 5th March. Bucking the trend of reducing the size of their hand-held consoles and instead making it bigger than it’s predecessor DSi. In doing so they have been able to increase the top and bottom screen size from 3.2″ to 4.2″.

The DSi XL will come pre-loaded with Dr Kawashima’s: Little Bit of Brain Training, Arts Edition and Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function and the Nintendo DSi Browser, enabling easy access the Internet from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection. The console launches in both wine red and dark brown, featuring a glossy sheen on top and matt finish on the underside that provides excellent grip when resting on a table or other surface during gameplay. It also includes a larger stylus, making gameplay feel more comfortable and natural.

Nintendo in June are expected to launch a cartridge containing as many as 100 public domain books from authors ranging from Shakespear to Mark Twain. Possibly in reaction to Apple’s growing presence in mobile gaming rather than Nintendo looking to dominate the e-reader market. http://bit.ly/csXqKu
