National Chip Week
Yes tech lovers it’s National Chip Week from the 15th to the 21st of February. Everyone loves chips? Well perhaps maybe the very health conscious would shun that claim. Regardless, chips are practically an institution in Blighty and deserve a place within the nation’s hearts alongside Churchill and a good cup of tea.
Below is a picture of some chips for you to look at.

Now we’re not expecting everyone to go out and eat a portion of chips everyday during the course of National Chip Week. No no no. That would just be silly. Although if you do plan on a portion a day throughout the duration of National Chip week; the following product may ease the guilt of doing so.
Yes techy Spud Lovers what better way to celebrate this great week than with a Tefal Actifry which you can purchase – quicker than the time it takes for a spud to be peeled and chopped – direct from the Laskys.com website here:
Create wondrous and delicious food (especially chips!) with the Tefal Actifry deep fat fryer which operates with 1 spoonful of oil, meaning only 3% fat. We guess that means you can eat approximately 33% more??! Seriously though that 3% of fat is all the oil required to make enough chips to feed a family of four. That’s 100 times less than a traditional deep fat fryer – which makes it much more economical to run, not to mention safer and easier to clean. Which all in all means more time for… yes you guessed it: CHIPS (the food not the TV show).
So National Chip Week, get on board with one of the above clever devises and settle down to watch everyone’s favourite chip chump Cheggers screeching out a chip song on YouTube:

Some strange and interesting facts about Tefal
Tefal owes its origins to a Frenchman, Marc Grégoire, and his wife, Colette. M. Grégoire, a keen fisherman, who wanted to make his rod reel in more smoothly and, in the 1950′s, experimented to see if a non stick coating might provide the answer. It did! But it was his wife who made the real breakthrough by gently suggesting that coating the cooking pans would have a more worthwhile application by making them easier to cook with and simpler to clean. Now, Tefal is the number one name in non-stick products and small appliances, operating in over 120 countries. Tefal remains committed to making household tasks easier and cooking results better, through a constant flow of new ideas and technology.
Sounds all a bit strange to us readers. What do you think?
