DLNA
Turning your living room into a complete home entertainment centre has just become a lot easier. From the spring, most major manufacturers, including Sony and Panasonic, will start producing products with DLNA technology built in.
The video below shows a Sony Bravia LCD With DLNA Networking:
DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) technology allows the streaming or transference of content between products without the need for a physical connection. It means you can play content contained on a laptop via a TV set or stereo, providing both products have the DLNA technology.

Wikipedia says:
DLNA intends to solve the problems inherent in using digital media between different consumer electronic devices. For example, a DLNA compliant TV will interoperate with a DLNA compliant PC to play music, photos or videos. The specification also includes DRM, a scheme to ensure that the “content must be protected from unauthorized copying and use.
The technology uses the Wi-Fi signal in the house, and allows you to select the file on a laptop or PC and select the ‘Play to’ option, the content will then instantly be broadcast on your chosen device.
Products with the DLNA technology will for the first time, be intended to interact with each other and will provide a completely integrated home entertainment experience. People will be able to download content and enjoy video on their TV or music through their stereo without any connection issues.
According to Gizmondo AU on YouTube:
At Sony’s UCHI event in Sydney, Sony Ericsson were showcasing their upcoming C905 Cybershot handset, with 8.1 megapixels, built-in Wi-Fi and Xenon flash. It’s also DLNA compliant, so you can share your content across your networked devices like your TV, PS3 or computer.
